First light at Elm Fork, Memorial Day weekend

i wanted to capture the amazing fields at first light-

i made my way at 5:30 in the morning, hoping that the rain would quit- that the sun would be seen as it began to rise.

i think it turned out fine- and more than that, it was a lot of fun!

Howard met me out there. He, too, thought it would be a fun morning- and the challenge of getting the light right at that time of day was a good learning experience!

Those are beautiful photos! I love how the sunflowers (?) droop at night and morning and then spread their petals as the dew rises above them. You are putting together quite a portfolio. Wonder if Howard is getting intimidated yet :-).

Nice going. Fun isn't it. It looks like you couldn't have had a nicer morning for the photos. It's stimulating to challenge your creative abilities with such an outing. Wish I could have been there with you.
